Tube 概念源自我對台灣與泰國金屬工藝的聯想。

 

在手工排氣管的製作過程中，透過板金的裁切與焊接，可以展現出有別於單純圓管材的自由度。這樣的技法，如同陶藝拉胚時對形體的塑造，增加了更多變化。取樣於手工排氣管的造型，提出了三款花器，藉此說明鈑金工藝如何在圓管之中延展出多樣的造型自由。

Tube originates from my reflections on the metal crafts of Taiwan and Thailand.

In the process of making handcrafted exhaust pipes, the cutting and welding of sheet metal allow for a freedom of form beyond the limitations of simple round tubing. This technique, much like the shaping of clay on a potter’s wheel, brings forth greater variation and expressive possibilities.

Taking inspiration from the forms of handcrafted exhaust pipes, I have created three vases to illustrate how sheet metal craftsmanship can extend the structural language of round pipes into a diversity of forms.
